when wisdom slew hope
I thought you and I should start writing
before turning the page we could
point out why poets can't live in the unknown
but for now courage could stop being underrated
and we could stop talking about the infinite
and for a while the exact opposite, perhaps,
for it seems it neither takes a pilot to fly a plane
nor reason for the fading of our pain
